Welcome to Dr. Hakeema Al Hashimi’s page. Bahrain’s leading radiology destination. A senior radiology consultant, Dr Hakeema Al Hashimi is a pioneer in her field.
She graduated from Kasturba Medical College (Now Known as Manipal Academy of Higher Education) Manipal, Karnataka India, where she was awarded a Gold Medal for being “the Best Outgoing Lady Medical Graduate”.
Later in her career she joined the Ministry of Health and served at Salmaniya Medical Complex.
Then she completed her residency and fellowship in Diagnostic Radiology in Dublin, Ireland at the Royal College of Surgeons, Faculty of Radiologists.
Another one of her numerous achievements is obtaining the Fellowship in Clinical Radiology from the Royal College of Radiologist in London, United Kingdom.
Moreover, she completed her subspecialty training in Paediatric Radiology at Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin, Dublin.
Dr Hakeema remained focused on ascending even higher in her discipline, so she pursued more training qualifications in some of the best internationally renowned radiology centres in United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and the USA.
Her vast experience and knowledge in all branches of radiology, having worked for more 27 years in the oldest tertiary government teaching hospital in Bahrain namely Salmaniya Medical Complex, qualifies her to be amongst the best radiologists in the Kingdom’s history.
Although Dr Hakeema Al Hashimi was actively involved in her teaching and training duties, she completed a master’s degree in health Professions Education with First Class Honor and distinction. For a period of time, She was the head of the radiology training programme in Salmaniya Medical Complex, in addition to being an Assistant Professor in the Arabian Gulf University, College of Medicine and Medical Sciences in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
After spending many years in public service, She now runs her radiology clinic at Family Medical Centre to continue serve her community and her patients.
